My goal in taking up birding and bird photography is to constantly learn everything I can about our local birds. I also want to grow in my photography skills and knowledge.

At present the quality of my shots is improving, but by study, trial, and error, I hope the results will improve. My goal for now is to take the best quality photo I can of each species I witness, to function as a specimen photograph. I realize that this will continue to be a challenge, which makes this hobby a growing pursuit.

Lastly, I love being outdoors in all types of environments where birds are found and continue to be amazed at the variety and beauty that I see every day.
